I am an online, native-speaking, English teacher from South Africa, with a neutral English accent and twenty years of training experience. I hold a 120-hr TEFL certificate as well as a Law Degree. Before teaching online, I practised law. Over a period of 20 years, I trained young law interns to pass their bar exams. I have been teaching corporate English at more than one institution over the past 6 years, and honed my teaching and administrative skills in the process.
Work history in the TEFL industry: I have been an online Corporate English teacher for the past 6 years. I have previously freelanced at Berlitz Europe (2018 - 2021), and currently, I am with Learnlight (this is my 4th year with them). I also freelance at Preply ( I have been with Preply for 4 years too).
• At Berlitz Europe, I taught Corporate English to groups, as well as individuals.
• I currently, mostly, teach test preparation (IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, CELPIP, OET and others), and I also teach children. I do proofreading and editing for PhD students, which I love to do.
• I teach several Specialised Corporate Courses at Learnlight Europe currently, which include but are not limited to, English for Lawyers, Negotiations, Corporate Telephone Etiquette, Public Speaking, Delivering Presentations, Test Preparation (Cambridge C1 and B2, and IELTS.) and other courses. I use my own material to present test preparation courses as well as child/youth courses. I furthermore do Proofreading and Editing work for learners at Learnlight. I love teaching.
