Vanessa

Hi, I'm Vanessa, and I am a highly qualified tutor with a diverse background in psychology, counselling, public health, and education. I completed my Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Psychology and Counselling, which gave me foundational knowledge in human behaviour and mental health. I then earned my Master of Science (MSc) degree in Public Health, where I gained expertise in the promotion and preservation of health in populations, including disease prevention, health policy, and health education. I began tutoring in a supplementary school and spent years re-learning the core subjects whilst learning how to deliver English as a second language to various students from around the world. In addition to my academic achievements, I completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Post Compulsory Education, which prepared me for teaching in post-compulsory education. I have lectured in health and social care, leveraging my expertise to teach and inspire students in the field. I have also been tutoring for seven years, providing personalised guidance and support to students across a range of subjects. As a tutor, I am passionate about helping students achieve their goals. My teaching style is tailored to each student's needs, and I believe that a personalized approach is key to helping students reach their full potential. I draw on my extensive background in psychology, counselling, public health, and education to provide students with valuable insights and perspectives from a variety of disciplines. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading, travelling and and spending time outdoors. I am also actively involved in my local community, volunteering and participating in various advocacy initiatives related to education.
