Biology BSc from Bristol University and Level 5 TEFL Qualification
Hello! My name is Thomas, but most people call me Tom, I am half-English and half-Japanese. I grew up in the UK and have spent my entire life here. I attended school, completed my GCSEs and A Levels, and then afterwards attended and graduated from Bristol University. I have some experience tutoring in the past for younger students, I worked part-time as a Biology tutor for about 6 months and had to stop since my University course was getting very busy. Although brief, my time as a tutor taught me valuable lessons. I understand that students have unique learning needs, and understand material and different paces as well as finding different parts of learning difficult. I aim to tailor my lessons to each student individually, taking into account their strengths and weaknesses and aim to deliver proper and satisfying lessons, but in a fun and casual manner. Learning should be fun! And I have found that students tend to learn the best in a highly ambitious but low pressure environment.
