I'm a native English speaker and teacher who loves grammar more than chocolate chip cookies. (Although chocolate chip cookies are pretty awesome, too). I have a background in English communication and linguistics and 10 years of experience teaching English language, writing, and literature. I've earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and am also certified in teaching English as a Second Language. My specialties are conversational English, phonology, formal writing, and grammar at all levels, from basic to advanced. As a teacher I am focused but fun. Learning a language should be exciting! I will meet you where you are at and help you achieve your language goals. You can decide to work on general language skills in a variety of areas using a set curriculum, or I am happy to construct a lesson plan around exactly what YOU would like to work on. Want to work on your English pronunciation? We can do that. Want a crash course in all twelve English verb tenses and how to use them perfectly? We can do that too!
Note: I live in Texas, but I do not have a "Texas accent." My father was in the military (yes, I'm an army brat!) and my family moved all over the country while I was growing up, so I have an extremely neutral American accent.
