I went to an American Primary and Middle School, and attended a South African High School. Immediately out of school, I enrolled and studied Civil Engineering at the University of Technology in Pretoria, South Africa, and have been working full-time as an Engineer for 13 years, and tutoring mathematics in my spare time since second year of University (math is just another language, after all). I am a qualified TEFL coach. Additionally, for my students' piece of mind, I am also currently busy with my 'Business English' certificate, even though I am already well versed in this due to the vast experienced gained working for Consulting and Design Engineering Companies for many years, including international projects, working with people from all over the world. I am sure that whatever you need, I have it.

Hi everyone, I am Coach Ryan, or just Ryan if you please. welcome in. Here is a bit about who I am. English is my mother tongue. I have travelled many different paths in life, from an American primary and middle school student, to a South African High school student, on to a being a University student. And finally, starting a career in the (Civil) Engineering industry, and unbeknown to myself, a career in tutoring. As a University student, I started tutoring mathematics (the language for science) for an additional income, and thus started this line of work, 19 years ago. I have since found that I connect really well with people from all over the world and are able to explain things/new information, in a way that benefits the student (a beautiful talent I would think), helping my students excel after every class. My teaching style is adaptable, as once size does not fit every individual, which is why they we are called individuals in the first place. I therefore cater my classes to the you, the learner's needs (this really is important for the student), and will always incorporate methods that keep lessons exciting, fun, and relevant to you. I definitely have the knowledge and experience most people would find valuable, so come on in and say hi, you'll most likely stick around. I work well with kids from 8 to adults, whether you want to learn basic English for communication and/or reading, or would like to improve your English for University or a job, or you require a professional CV in English (one of the many responsibilities I had in the engineering industry was reviewing CV's of potential employees, which armed me with in-depth knowledge of professional CV's from all over the world, soaking up the knowledge of professional CV layouts and the intricate English used within for many years). I take personal pride in seeing my students improve, which most certainly keeps me motivated to give my best, by providing quality coaching at all times! With me, you will improve!
