Master’s in Teaching English; Master of English Philosophy; ongoing level 5 TEFL course
I'm a 26 years old Hungarian woman with endless curiousity. I love discovering new places, cultures, and people, and I have a deep interest in languagues, arts and humanities. I have more than four years of experience when it comes to teaching English: it started as a volunteering project in a French high school, then it became my profession when I started working in a language school in Szeged, Hungary. During my time in the language school I held business English and everyday English courses for all levels, mostly teaching small groups of adults, and I taught kids (aged 10-11) in a summer camp. Apart from that, I also held private Hungarian and French lessons through the language school. Currently I am teaching online from home because I travel a lot and working remotely allows me to be flexible. When you become my student I will ask about your goals, asses your level, and recommend a course book based on your level and needs. In case you would only like to practice communication or wouldn't like to learn from a book, we can also simply talk and occassionally use some worksheets to make the lessons more varied and enjoyable. All my lessons are generally very communicative – I try to stay in the background and correct you when necessary, and guide you through the exercises instead of giving you the answers. From experience I know that real learning happens when you figure things out for yourself, and not when you are passively listening for your teacher's explanations.:)
