I’m an energy sources engineer who just graduated from college. I am from Guatemala but studied in Spain with a scholarship. Through all my life I’ve developed the gift of teaching, since I was in school. I enjoy doing it and I think it was easy for me since my parents and my sister are teachers. I did an optional teaching course in high school, so I have a teaching diploma. However, I believe that teaching is more than just passing out knowledge. It’s about helping others to find their gifts, develop them and witness them get confident in whatever topic they learn. As an engineer, I’m highly qualified to teach math, physics, structures theory, thermodynamics, hydrology, mechanics and chemistry. I love to share what I’ve learned. I also enjoy teaching languages since I know how much I struggled when I was learning English, but I got to find easier ways to learn fast and confidently.

In my experience, learning is easy when the right method is used. We are created with the capacity to learn and absorb knowledge when it’s fed in bits and pieces. My methods vary depending on the student because everyone has different needs. I first do an exam to visualize the way a singular person learns and then adapt the whole class into it. Still, every method has something in common, most of the effort is done by the student, without him/her noticing. Learning is meant to be fun and my challenge is to make the student be thirst of new knowledge and even keep searching by themselves. In my experience, the knowledge one gets for its own desire, is the one that is kept forever.
