I am from South Africa and as an experienced English mother tongue teacher/tutor, its important my students learn well, while having fun, with personalised lesson plans. I taught ESL English for more than 17 years in Italy, 2 years in Taiwan, 2 years in Saudi Arabia, and at UK summer schools, to students of all ages and abilities, from 3-75 years. I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication and Psychology, and BA Honours Degree, as well as a TEFL certificate, and I did a Life Coaching cerification. As a Cambridge University examiner I also help prepare students for their exams (all levels). I've taught Business English at Companies, taught at many schools, universities and at homes, and worked for 16 years at summer schools, ensuring its educational as well as fun! I also write-direct school plays, a wonderful and fun way to learn English. I'm currently busy with my husband writing a fun educational book for young students, useful for parents and teachers. Two years ago I did a Life Coaching course. It is very useful in assisting students in their personal and professional choices and growth, and I did a Trauma Counselling course, especially valuable during the post-Covid period.
