Hello! My name is Lydia and I am a native English speaker from the USA. I am a full time college student studying English-teaching and I will be TESOL certified this spring. I started tutoring about 5 years ago as a volunteer in an elementary school where I helped young children in various subjects such as math, reading and writing. It was so rewarding helping others learn and grow that I immediately knew that I wanted to continue teaching. Since then, I have been a volunteer tutor for various non-profit organizations. Additionally, I am now working to complete the TESOL certification so I can develop my teaching skills further! In all of my lessons, my top priority is helping students become more confident in the English language and all of my lesson plans are personalized for their learning preferences and goals. I focus on: - conversational speaking - grammar and pronunciation - reading and comprehending text - spelling and writing professionally - engaging in interactive street dialogue I also love building connections with my students to keep the learning as engaging as it is informative! For as long as I can remember, helping others in any way I can has been a passion of mine, so I am so excited for this opportunity to help English learners!
