I studied Modern Languages (BA) at university in UK and spent most of my adult life living in Spanish speaking countries.

I have over 20 years of experience having taught in Japan, Chile, Spain and UK. I enjoy teaching very much, be it helping a primary school child with their creative writing or helping a GCSE Spanish student to gain confidence in a speaking exam. I have a host of adult classes, teaching people from all over the world, which is thoroughly enjoyable. The classes are tailored to the individual's needs. Students give me an idea of their goals and aims and we will start to work towards those. I use a range of content, videos, audios, pdfs, to make each class interesting and varied. If exam practice is needed, we use past papers and practice questions, to look in-depth at what is expected, to enable the student to gain top marks. I am friendly and make every student feel at ease, as this approach is more conducive to successful learning. Every class is different and my experience allows me to adapt if I feel that a particular task or activity isn't working. I work really hard to make sure that classes are adapted to the individual and I am thrilled when they see the success of their learning, whether that be achieving better than expected grades in exams or being able to communicate in their language of choice. I believe that a successful tutor really needs to care about their students and go out of their way to deliver a class that meets their needs and that is what I always strive to do.
