Hi, I have been an English language tutor for many years, and am still passionate about language learning and helping my students to reach their potential. I also love learning languages and am constantly looking for new ideas to present and practise new language. I love grammar but realise not all students do, so I try to incorporate fun and games into my classes to keep my students interested. With new technology, language learning has seen a revolution and in my view, the resources available to the teacher and student are better than they have ever been. I like to explore these new methods of teaching using websites, interactive quizzes, videos and other authentic material available online. My lessons are fast-paced and I try to do a mix of speaking, listening, reading, and writing in all my lessons. Obviously where exam preparation is involved there are times when certain elements must take priority and this is addressed according to which areas the student(s) need most help with. Every student is different in the way they learn and I try to address this in my classes. Keeping students engaged and making them aware of their mistakes and how they can learn to self-correct is essential. This is how we learn and improve.
