Hello My name is Iryna and I'm 27 years old. I am from Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. I graduated from KNLU and obtained MD in Philology and translation with specialisation in English and Hindi languages. I have also obtained TESOL certificate from the World TESOL Academy. After graduating, I went to India for one year and taught English to Hindi speaking students as a volunteer. It was a very positive experience for me with a lot of learning.
I like teaching because it helps me to make positive changes in people's lives. I am inspired by the thought that I can share my knowledge and experience with others. I have been teaching for 7 years now and I have 5 years of experience teaching online. I have experience of teaching different age groups of different nationalities, starting from 3 years old to middle-aged adults. I motivate my students to learn English using innovative methods such as connecting the language to something personal in their lives. Personalized tasks and ideas, keeps them motivated as the class is focused on their interests and likings. I also integrate games and fun activities in my teaching methodology which keeps them interested in the lesson. It also helps me to get an idea of their vocabulary, pronunciation, and knowledge of tenses. And of course, providing constructive feedback is essential for every class. I don't spend too much time correcting every single mistake of my students as it can discourage them. I try to give feedback that is positive and encouraging for a student. I always encourage two-way communication in class so they can practice speaking more. It gives me great pleasure to see the progress of my students.
