Hello, my name is teacher Doret! I'm 47 years old. I'm originally from the beautiful South Africa, but I now live in the culture-diverse United Arab Emirates. I love kids and animals, am a bit of an exercise fanatic, a keen reader, watch sports, and have just taken up photography! I have completed my level 5 TEFL qualification through The TEFL Academy, and obtained my 270-hour EFL Online Teaching Certificate through SOET, the School of Online English Tutoring. I also have 18 years of experience in the corporate world as an in-service, and induction trainer.
I am currently teaching teens and adult students online from all over the world. I am also ready to assist you with interview groundwork and IELTS or TEFL examination preparations. Every student who enters my classroom is very important to me and I will adapt my lessons to what works for each individual student. We will work hard to improve your fluency, reading, grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary. I focus on each student's goals and motivation for learning English and base my lessons around these goals. Reviewing a student's expertise is very important by means of a placement test. I will also give short homework exercises, as it is an important aspect of learning where a student review what he/she learned in the previous lesson. I would like to encourage students to travel or study in other countries, by equipping them with the tools to do so! Teaching is the opportunity where I can help students to grow and speak English more fluently with confidence. I love meeting new people, and nicetutor is the perfect platform where I can meet and talk to people all over the world while teaching and learning about my student.
