Présentation

I am a Biomedical student with a passion for neurology and hopes to go into Medical biotech. Previously being a student with a tutor through tutoring, I understand the importance of a good tutor and the impact one can have on a student's attitude to learning and school in general.

Over the years, I have built up considerable life skills and experiences that have enabled me to become a competent and efficient tutor. I am a very optimistic, and highly organised person with leadership skills that will allow me to conduct lessons in an orderly manner. I have an in-depth knowledge of my subject areas and I will always deliver robust lesson plans that cater to all students. I understand there comes a huge amount of responsibility as a tutor and I relish the challenge the role presents.

My students range from primary school level up to GCSE so I am able to tailor my lesson to cater to specific age groups, keeping them engaged and involving interactive activities for better understanding. I always start lessons with short, easy quizzes to refresh what we have learnt previously and to check for development of understanding, before attacking problem areas with my student as a team. I also set short homework tasks that won't overbear students, aware that they may already have tasks to complete for school. This is done so I can assess their progress and plan a diagnostic lesson that is very specific to their needs. I will always provide my student with fair resources that they can have access to in their own time for independent learning.

My current degree alongside my previous experience as an online tutor, means I have very good knowledge of specific exam boards and curriculums, making me very suited to teach the levels of students stated. I am able to structure my lessons around the exam board specification (whether that be lessons focusing on content or working through an exam paper) in hopes to help my students reach their full academic potential.
