I am an honest, integrous and proactive teacher. I am thoughtful ,flexible and adaptable to new teaching environments and new students. I am enthusiastic and curious with an open mind in the classroom. I am a collaborative worker and a quick creative thinker. My core teaching values are to foster an environment for personal growth and inclusion. To bring together the best in students whilst challenging myself and the students to work smarter and make learning happen. I am fully present in everything I do. I believe perseverance trumps talent. I am dedicated to students' needs with over 4 years experience in the classroom gaining first hand experience. I am TEFL certified with a University teaching qualification. I am an English native speaker with a clear and neutral accent. I am reliable and patient and I focus on each student's individual needs to help reach their personal goals. I am willing to provide a personalised learning experience to international students ensuring every child's individual needs are met. I have over 4 years teaching experience including working as a One-to-One teacher for an SEN child within a mainstream classroom, and also as a lead teacher in an independent special needs school with a class of 8 students with a variety of behavioural and learning difficulties. I believe these roles helped me gain the teaching skills needed to ensure full inclusion in the class whilst being mindful that each child's individual needs and development are different. I would always maintain a level of respect, control and discipline within the classroom while being energetic and fun to keep the students excited and engaged while learning.

Hello!! My name is Carla I'm 32 and I am from Wales, a small country in the UK. I am passionate about teaching English to children online, I think it's amazing that it connects me to students from all over the world! I love to travel , I have visited lots of countries including Turkey, France, Spain, Thailand, Lisbon, Miami and Bali. This year I plan to visit Vietnam, Cambodia and Fiji. In my spare time I like to keep active by using my local gym, running and hiking up mountains. I describe myself as enthusiastic, caring and hard working with excellent communication skills. I consider myself to be polite, easy to talk to, positive and patient with lots of imagination. I enjoy sharing my knowledge , interacting with children and feel fortunate to be part of their lives and development. I am always looking to continue my professional development, which personally I think is essential to become the best person and version of yourself.
