My name is Ann, an expat living in the capital city of Turkey. I have at least 7 years of teaching experience with South Korean and Turkish students, both face-to-face and online. I took on travel writing when I moved to Ankara in 2016. It was such a pleasant way to make a living until the pandemic hit. Since then I've been teaching again. There is a primary school in my neighborhood; so, word of mouth really works. I teach primary and middle school students at the weekend. All of these classes are face-to-face. I can't help feeling paranoid, especially when I have these kids coming in and out of my house almost every other day. I also teach online for at least 2 hours a day. Online teaching seems to be a safer way. I acquired a TESOL/TEFL certificate for this reason.
